About
5 Vymir is a Kyiv-based indie rock band known for its atmospheric sound at the intersection of indie, Brit-pop, and psychedelia. They made their debut in 2014 with the album Mistoliniya, which was included in the list of 100 Important Albums of Independent Ukraine. Their second release, New Names (2017), was recorded live in one day, and songs like “So Quiet” or “Cold in the Hair” have gained cult status among fans of the Ukrainian independent scene.
After a few years of silence, the band gained popularity again in 2025 when their songs returned to the streaming charts. Despite the hiatus, 5 Vymir remains an iconic and influential name in Ukrainian indie music.
